Pellet Boiler PELLPAL DUO with 48 kW power - 5th Class EcoDesign - LCD controller

We present an ecological and efficient pellet boiler, model PELLPAL DUO with a power of 48 kW. This device is adapted to fuel in the form of wood pellets. The PELLPAL DUO boiler is characterized by high efficiency, thoughtful construction, and excellent insulation of the device. All these parameters affect the high efficiency of the central heating boiler.

The PELLPAL DUO boiler with a power of 48 kW will easily handle generating the energy necessary to heat rooms up to 460 square meters while simultaneously heating domestic hot water. The fuel used in PELLPAL DUO boilers is wood pellet with a diameter of 6 to 8 mm. The fuel itself is very easy to store, does not produce dust, and at the same time leaves a minimal amount of ash after combustion.

The thermal efficiency of the PELLPAL DUO pellet boiler with a power of 48 kW exceeds 90%, as confirmed by tests conducted according to the PN-EN 303-5:2021-09 standard, in which the heating device received class 5. The energy class of the central heating boiler is A+, which certifies the energy efficiency and exceptional performance of the equipment. Combined with low carbon monoxide emissions, tar substances, and dust (at a level below 20 mg/m³), this allows for higher subsidies for boiler replacement according to the EcoDesign ecodesign project.

Very high efficiency and performance of the device.

The equipment of the PELLPAL DUO pellet boiler with a power of 48 kW includes:

• a steel-cast iron burner that efficiently burns pellets,
• a forced draft fan that supplies air to the combustion chamber,
• the PELLPAL DUO KOLOR controller, which is responsible for ignition, maintaining, and controlling the combustion process by regularly supplying fuel.

In the presented version, the equipment of the 48 kW pellet boiler includes a controller with a color and touch display, which further facilitates the operation of the heating device. The boiler is adapted to work in an open system (system equipped with an overflow expansion vessel), in which the installation is directly connected to the air accumulated in the vessel. However, if there is a need to use it in a closed system, the purchase of additional elements such as a cooling coil, DBV2 safety valve, SYR 5067 thermal protection, and an expansion vessel will be necessary. These devices will eliminate the risk of overpressure, which can be dangerous for the installed system.

Construction of the PELLPAL DUO pellet boiler with a power of 48 kW

The Pellpal Duo heating boiler with a power of 48 kW consists of a body made of certified boiler plate with a thickness of 5 mm and a water jacket made from the same certified steel of the same thickness. The boiler is designed with horizontal channels in the upper part of the device. The boiler body is designed so that the pellet burner can be mounted on the right or left side of the device. The boiler is equipped with a dedicated shield that allows changing the position of the feeder side relative to the boiler body. It is usually delivered with the feeder and tank mounted on the right side of the boiler.

Directly above the feeder is the fuel tank for pellets. It is made of 2 mm thick sheet metal. It has a gasket mounted under the tank lid to prevent moisture from entering the tank interior. The tank lid is equipped with a cover opening sensor. The fuel tank rests on a frame connecting its body with the fuel feeder body. A rubber gasket is installed between them.

Fuel from the tank is dropped directly into the screw feeder and transported in appropriate amounts to the burner combustion chamber inside. The PELLPAL DUO boiler has a safety device called a "fire guard", which prevents the backflow of embers and fire into the fuel chamber. At the rear of the boiler, there is a water tank connected by a hose to a temperature sensor. If the sensor detects too high a temperature in the feeder, water is discharged and the burner is shut down as an emergency measure.

Control of the PELLPAL DUO boiler with a power of 48 kW - controller with color LCD display

The boiler operation is controlled by a microprocessor controller PELLPAL DUO KOLOR equipped with a color touch LCD display. It has preset settings for fuel in the form of pellets. The controller menu includes an option to change the fuel depending on the heating boiler in which the device is used. For PELLPAL DUO boilers tested for pellet combustion, it has preset settings for pellet fuel and settings adapted to the rated heating power of the specific boiler. The parameters of the PELLPAL DUO controller are selected so that the ignition process and subsequent burning and water heating in the central heating system proceed efficiently and economically. The controller has an automatic pellet ignition function in the burner using an automatic igniter heater located in the combustion chamber.

The warranty for the PELLPAL DUO boiler is 60 months and starts from the date of its issuance and the purchase of the boiler. The warranty on the boiler is granted provided that all the requirements given in the operating manual are met (see attachments).

Attention! Failure to familiarize with and meet the requirements given in the operating manual by the user, attempts at self-repair, interference with the boiler's construction and equipment, and other causes not resulting from the manufacturer's fault will result in the loss of the warranty.

The warranty also covers the equipment installed on the boiler (fan, controller), but for the period and under the conditions consistent with the warranty card of the manufacturer of this equipment.

The warranty does not cover:

• mechanical damage occurring during transport, installation, boiler operation
• components that wear out during boiler operation (sealing cord, gaskets, swirlers, hinges, screws, nuts, auger safety pin, handles and hooks, ceramic elements, flame deflector, paint coatings). The warranty also does not cover the replacement of these parts
• pellet ignition heaters as a product naturally wearing out during normal operation are subject to a 1-month warranty from the moment of the first boiler ignition or replacement
• events described in "Causes of disturbances and malfunctions in boiler operation"
• lack of confirmation of boiler installation and protection according to PN-91/B-02413 or PN-EN 12828:2003
• activities intended to be performed by the user as specified in the operating manual
• corrosion, pitting, and material loss of the boiler caused by improper boiler operation (maintaining the minimum return temperature in the boiler - temperature protection)
• damage and their effects caused by failure to use chimney ducts that do not meet the requirements considering the likelihood of flue gas condensation and resistance to harmful chemical compounds including acids.
• damage resulting from exceeding the maximum temperature and pressure values in the boiler
